With the release of their third, full-length studio album, ‘3’, it is clear that the Kamloops, BC based rock quintet Blackdog Blue has found yet another musical gear. After 6 years of acclaimed live shows and lessons learned from the band’s first two studio albums, Slide (2006) and Staring at the Sun (2008), ‘3’ highlights Blackdog Blue’s maturing songwriting skills, studio savvy, and unique ability to effectively add classic flavors to contemporary rock music.

Blackdog Blue first arrived on the music scene in 2004, playing classic rock and Texas Blues standards to welcoming audiences. Dennis Hayes, the band’s guitar player and sole songwriter soon turned his attention to songwriting. BDB’s release of its first two albums, Slide, and Staring at the Sun was positively received by both fans and critics.
